Notes on Robert E. and Mary E. Shevlin Nicholls Family

Mary Shevlin, born August 9, 1874 in Manhattan , certificate 140592.  Father John, age 25, paver(?).  Mother Kate Mulligan Shevlin, age 23.  Address 402 E. 76 Street, Manhattan .

Mary E. Shevlin age 24 and Robert E. Nicholls age 31 married New York City May 15, 1895, certificate 8010.  Address 107 W. 98 Street.  Father and mother of bride John J. Shevlin and Catherine Ryan Mulrane[?].  Father and mother of groom Robert Nicholls, 276 8th Ave., and Hannah McCarthy.

Per Margaret Shevlin Adams the mother of Grace Nicholls was Minnie Shevlin.  Grace Nicholls' married name was Ticko.  Grace was said to be a cousin of Rose and Frances Cox.  

William H. and Grace M. Ticko, were living in the Bronx in 1930.  [Federal census, 1930, Bronx, New York City, SD 26, ED 691, sheet 6B] 

A quit claim deed in Hunter, New York, March 9,1897 lists one of the heirs of John J. Shevlin as Minnie Nichols.
